The death of Dorothy Jones of Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, widow of Al Jones occurred March 4, 2011 at her residence. She was born at Long Island, Kennebecasis River, NB, daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Cunningham) Rodgerson. Dorothy retired from T.S. Simms and Co. Brush Factory. She loved to cook and feed her family and friends. In her earlier years she enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She is survived by two sons, George Jones, Saint John and Howard Jones (Margot), Bains Corner, NB; two sisters, Joy Jones and Perrine Titus (Wayne) of Hampton; five grandchildren, Kim Hickey (Stephen), Michael Jones (Tracey), Matthew Jones, William Jones and Jordan Jones; four great grandchildren, Kai, Meg, Matthew and Harris; several nieces, nephews and cousins including special cousin Hazel Rodgerson.
Resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation on Sunday from 2-4pm. The funeral will be held 11:00am, Monday March 7, 2011 at Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Karen MacNeill officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Memorials to Dr. V.A.
