Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Saturday, March 5, 2011, of Mary "Adele" Harris of the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home and formerly of Sunset Drive, Tignish aged 88 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Beloved wife of the late Allison G. Harris. Born in Tignish on July 5, 1922, she was the last surviving family member of the late Joseph A. and Mary Ursule (nee LeClair) Richard. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and by her grand-nieces and nephews of the Richard family. She was predeceased by her sister Rita Poirier and by brothers Frederick, Henry and Thomas. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Western Hospital Equipment Fund or to the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home would be gratefully appreciated. The members from the Tignish Branch #6 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at the Funeral Home Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m.
