At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday March 6, 2011, of Ida "Jean" Meek of Spring Brook aged 79 years. Born in Spring Brook March 22, 1931, daughter of the late Alfred and Bessie (Mill) Cole. Wife of the late Arnold Meek. Mother of Gary (Janice) Meek, and their family Andrew and Hilary, Moncton, N.B.; Warren (Wanda) Meek, and their family Autumn and Megan, Tantallon, N.S.; Joy (Arnold) Moase, and their family Kelsey, Travis and Stacey, Kensington, and Elizabeth (Mark) Jones, and their family Riley, Kensington. Sister of Mildred Davison of Spring Brook, sister-in-law of Ruth (Warren) Hession, Vancouver, B.C. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Perley Davison, Hillard (Dorothy) Meek, Horace (Elizabeth) Meek, and sisters-in-law, Hazel (Roscoe) Walker and Etta (Archibald) Pidgeon. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Spring Brook, at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or St. Thomas Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
