Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness on March 7, 2011 at the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, Audrey Alma Saunders of Bishop’s Falls, she was 84 years of age. Mrs. Saunders retired from Saunders’ Stop & Shop in 1991. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur & Ada Cornick; brother, Wallace; sister-in-law, Lillian. Left to mourn are her husband Joe Saunders of 56 years. Also left to mourn her passing are nephews, Ewen (Donna) Cornick, their children, Jill, Heather & Leigh; Mark (Donna) Cornick their children Amy & Matt; niece, Valerie (Harold) Peddle, their children, Sally & Allison and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Elizabeth Stewart conducted funeral services at the United Church with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Bishop’s Falls on Thursday, March 10, 2011. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Bishop’s Falls. Pallbearers were Ewen Cornick, Mark Cornick, Ron Lahey, Frazer Butt, Fred Boone and Bob King.
