Passed peacefully away at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge on Thursday, July 16, 2009, Jennie Dawe, aged 78 years. Leaving to mourn, treasuring almost 58 years of married life, her husband Richard. Remembering her with love her children: Paulette (James Stowe), Keith (Yvonne), Dennis (Carolyn) and Robin (Anne Marie). Jennie is sadly missed by her grandchildren: Andrea, Bradley (Vanessa), Mark, Matthew, Adam, Lauren, Steven, Victoria, Melanie, Hilary and Stephen; her sister Elsie Watson (Stuart) and brother Raymond Pretty (Joy); brother-in-law Wilfred Dawe (Lena); a longtime friend Tillie Cooper and a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from The Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road later. In her memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
