Russell Bazil Weir, 65, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at home, Saturday, March 12, 2011. Born in Middlesex, he was a son of the late Gordon and Marjorie (Morrissey) Weir. Russell was retired from the CNR and was an associate member of the Salisbury Legion Branch 31. Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, bluegrass festivals and playing pool. He is survived and sadly missed by his daughter Marjorie Gallant, Kitchener On.; son John Weston (Rebecca), Moncton; grandson Joshua of Kitchener; brother Bobby of Salisbury; sister Ruby Moser of Riverview and special friend Thelma Cusack of Havelock. Russell is also survived by one nephew, two nieces and several cousins and his beloved dog "Bear". Predeceased by nephew Floyd Weir.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday, March 15, 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Wednesday, March 16 at 11 am.
