Sarah (Finlayson) Young
We, the family of the late Sarah Young wish to extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone for their thoughtfulness and kindness during our recent bereavement. Mom’s funeral service was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, Florence, on March 7, 2011, with Fr. Thomas John Valiaveetil, Fr. Ajit Kerketta and Fr. Vern Boutilier officiating. Pallbearers were Jamie Swain, Ward Brooks, Glen Gear, Matthew Rendell, Kyle Rendell and Cody Rendell. Thank you to organist Stewart MacNeil, St. Stephen’s choir, readers, granddaughters Mayannda and Jamie Nora Swain, and gift-bearers, granddaughters Kayleigh and Damara Gear, and to all who helped celebrate the Mass for Mom. Thank you to the ladies of Branch 83 Florence Legion for the lovely luncheon, and to all our relatives, neighbours and friends for the phone calls, food brought to our home, sympathy cards, Mass offerings, donations, flowers, online condolences and attended the visitation and funeral Mass. A special thank you to everyone who made it possible for Mom to be cared for at home during her illness; her family physician Dr. S. Langley, the V.O.N., Cape Breton County Homemakers, palliative care nurses and doctors, especially Susan MacKenzie, R.N., Dr. D. Gowan, Dr. G. Burns, Dr. J. Ritter, and all others who visited Mom at home. We would also like to thank Helena MacNeil and Debbie Rendell, whose help over the years was very much appreciated. To the staff of J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, thank you for your help and professionalism. To everyone that helped during Mom’s illness and at this difficult time, May God Bless You All.
Mom, Love You Forever.
