Age 80, of Oxford and formerly of P.E.I., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Valleyview Villa in Stellarton, N.S. Born in Slovakia, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Pastir) Polacko. Andrew owned and operated a television and repair service for many years until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed, painting, basket weaving and walking his dog. Andrew was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and will be sadly missed by, his wife, the former Mary King of Oxford; children, Flo Estabrooks of Amherst, Linda (Clary) Fleury of Saint John, N.B., Roberta (Larry) Harrison of Oxford, Frank Estabrooks of Marmara, ON, and Gerald Estabrooks of Saint John, N.B.; brother, Steven (Suzann) Polacko of Brantford, ON; three grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (MacAleer) Polacko. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
