Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Theresa Power, aged 87 years, originally from Avondale. Predeceased by her husband Andrew Power and infant son Andrew Gerard. Left with cherished memories are her two sons: Michael (Alice) Power, Pugwash, N.S., Wayne (Marion Power), Calgary, Alberta; two daughters: Betty Lou (Lloyd) Pitcher, Stephenville and Darlene (Todd) Hynes, Mt. Pearl; one brother Bill (Helen) Meaney, California and five grandchildren: Krista (Dan) Bennett, Heather Pitcher (Scott Peddle), Kevin (Melissa) Power, Michael (Tiffany) Power, Melissa Hynes and four great-grandchildren: Jarrett, Easton, Hallee and Seth. Also remembered by her Avondale family: Helen (Jackie) O’Leary, Kevin (Laura) Parsley, Theresa (Gary) O’Leary and Mary Mahoney and numerous friends. Theresa is resting at Russells Funeral Home, Stephenville, Saturday and Sunday March 18 and 19, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church and interment at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Stephenville.
