August 20, 1918 - March 15, 2011. Passed away at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, March 15th, Capt. Clayton Skinner of Fortune, in his 92th year. Predeceased by wife Ethel (nee Witherall) of 52 years, also second wife Lydia of 2 years. Leaving to mourn son Edward (Dora) of Upper Gullies, daughter Sarah Brady (John) of Fortune, son Albert (Sheila) of Brooks, Alberta, daughter Velma Browne (Gerald) of St. John’s, son Corwin (Marie) of Fortune, daughter Barbara Tulk (Leonard) of St. John’s, daughter Carolann Banfield (Lloyd) of Grand Bank, son Garry (Karen) of Grand Bank, son Wilson (Janet) of Alberta; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at All Saints Anglican Church, Fortune at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday. Funeral Service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anglican Church Cemetery Fund in Fortune. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
