Moncton - Margaret Dean, wife of Lyman J. Dean, of Ellerdale Ave., Moncton, passed away suddenly at the Moncton City Hospital, on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the age of 76. Born in Belfast, Ireland, on January 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Little) Gordon. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Consolidated Glass Ltd., in Scoudouc; a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin. She is survived by her husband, Lyman; one daughter, Maureen MacDonald, of Vancouver, B.C.; three sons, Weldon MacDonald (Audrey), of Queens, N.Y., USA, Michael Dean, of Vancouver, B.C., Brian Dean, of Moncton; two sisters, Maureen Taylor (Ron), of Kingston, Ont. and Betty Noel (Russell), of London, Ont.; two brothers, James Gordon (Joan), of Vancouver, B.C. and Hugh Gordon (Elsie), of Niagara Falls, Ont.; four grandchildren, Jamie, Charlie, Mae, Christopher; as well as several nieces and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter, Patsy Morton.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by the Venerable Richard Steeves, followed by a reception with the family at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring.As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
