Leo Forbes Power of Lower Coverdale passed away Saturday March 19, 2011 at the Forest Dale Nursing Home at the age 79. Born in Berryton, NB, he was the son of the late Oliver and Laura (Ricker) Power. Leo was a retired machinist from CNR, a member of the CN Pensioners Association and the Weldon Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outside, being in the garden or out camping, Leo loved nothing more than being in his woodworking shop making toys for his grand children. He will be dearly missed by his wife Audrey Wilson-Power (Steeves), daughter, Karen Swzerda (Karl) of Oshawa, ON, sons; Wayne of Petitcodiac, Jeff (Fran) of Collingwood, ON and Danny (Pam) of Moncton, his step children; Brent (Donna) of Riverview, Gregory (Gail) of Victoria, BC, Grant (Karen) of Lower Coverdale, Bradley (Audrey) of Osborne Corner, Merle Wilson (Debbie) of Dawson Settlement, Trina Milburn (Greg) of Lower Cape and Melinda Phillips (Craig) of Lower Coverdale, sisters; Emma Gross (Clyde) of Riverview, Amy Rea of Moncton and Eileen Fenton of Saint John, 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters; Sadie Constantine, Nellie Kendrick and Effie Milton, brothers; Hansel, Rollie and Gordon.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM, the funeral service will be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 3:30 PM, with the interment will take place in the Wilmot Cemetery at a later date.
