PATEY, Gladys – St. Anthony. Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness on March 19, 2011, Mrs. Gladys Patey at the age of 82. She leaves to mourn with loving memories her husband of almost 61 years, Ted; son Glenn; daughters: Kathy (Colin Morris), and Janice (Paul Kattenbusch); five grandchildren: Danielle and Shawna Morris; Lauren, Brooke, and Nicholas Kattenbush; also leaving to mourn sisters: Charlotte Lilly, Gloria Notaro (Anthony) and Pearl Howell; as well as a number of half brothers and sisters throughout Canada and the United States. She’ll also be deeply missed by sisters-in-law: Mary B. Patey, Violet Decker, Rosalie Spurrell and brother-in-law Dennis (Dorothy). She was predeceased by parents Albert and Juanita Tucker and brother Joseph (Myrtle). Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service from St. Anthony United Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Burial followed at Fishing Point United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
