SMITH, Carl Owen - 58, of Steam Mill, Kings County, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hants County, he was a son of Gertrude (Earl) Weatherbee and the late Arthur Blenkhorn. In his earlier years, he had been employed as an auto body mechanic. He loved motorcycles and riding with his friends. He loved cars and painting them and enjoyed his tractor and keeping busy outdoors. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his common-law wife, Patricia White; two step-daughters, Lisa White and Amanda White (Shelby Lucas); a sister, Sandra (Ron) MacKeen; two brothers, Jeff (Theresa) Weatherbee and Curtis (Zelda) Weatherbee; two step-grandchildren, Diedre and Mariah; numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by request.
