The death occurred peacefully with his wife by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, March 26, 2011 of William "Emmett" Cameron of Miscouche, P.E.I. and formerly of Wellington, aged 80 years. Emmett was born on Aug. 16, 1930 in Wellington Centre, P.E.I. to his late parents Eusabius and Eileen (nee Smith) Cameron . Beloved husband of 52 years to Norma (nee Arsenault ) Cameron and loving father of Darlene (Peter) Gallant of Calgary, AB., Mike (Sheila) of Charlottetown, Cathy (Wilfred) Perry of Wellington Centre, Christine (Rick) Langland of Calgary, AB., Donna (Stephen) Clark of Belmont, Lot 16, Bruce (Joyce) of Summerside, Brenda (Richard) Cleveland of Fredericton, N.B., James (friend Bonnie) of Calgary, AB. and Debbie (Russell) MacWilliams of Richmond. Also lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Leona Cameron of Wellington Centre, 19 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers and sisters: Pius (Eleanor) , Louis (Lillian) , Viola (Cecil) Cameron, Beatrice Deighan and Sarah (John) Bryson. Besides his parents, Emmett was predeceased by his son Justin, sister Hilda (Ronald) MacNeill, brother Justin and father and mother-in-law John and Delema Arsenault. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, April 2, then to n Immaculate Conception Church, Wellington for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Emmett’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I., the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
