HUBERT “Hoodoo” REDDEN - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bert Redden on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Grace Hospital (Winnipeg) at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bert’s memory is his wife of 55 years of marriage, Helen; children Vicki (Randy), Lenore (Phillip), Tim (Jamie); grandchildren Darren (Nadine), Carlee, Amanda, Brad; great-grandchildren Blake and Brielle; as well as by his brother Howard of Kentville, Nova Scotia. Bert proudly served with the PPCLI for 27 years. During his years of service, he served in the Korean War and performed peace keeping duties in Cypress. After the many years spent away from his family while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, he has spent his retirement years enjoying life with his wife and family. In keeping with Bert’s wishes, a small private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks are extended to the Nurses and Aides at the Grace Hospital with special heartfelt thanks to Rhonda, Diane and Lisa who always seemed to be able to find a little bit of extra time during their hectic work days to give to Bert and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bert’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
