NEW GLASGOW – Flora Jean Boates, 81, of New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Rumley) Boates.
Flora loved playing cards, crocheting, knitting, playing bingo and shopping.
She is survived by cousins, Karen Paschal (Dennis Darroch), New Glasgow; Florence (Jim) Delorey, New Glasgow; Tom (Lee) Russell, Dartmouth; numerous cousins and relatives.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 in P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
