Yvette Marie Receveur (nee Tisserand)
January 12, 1931 – May 19, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvette Marie Receveur on Friday, May 19, 2017. Yvette will be forever missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Terence; children, Terence (Roxanne) of Prince George, BC, Ronald (Patty) of Port Alberni, BC, Darlene of Parksville, BC, Kenneth (Sheryl) of Port Alberni, BC, Robin of Chemainus, BC; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yvette is predeceased by her daughter, Melody A. Loyd.
Born in Debden, Sask., Yvette moved with her husband to Port Alberni in 1955 where she devoted her life to raising their six children. Any event that brought the family together put a smile on her face.
Throughout her life, Yvette loved music and her pleasant singing voice was always perfectly in tune.
The daughter of a World War I and II Veteran, she proudly served as President of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years. After the family grew up, Yvette and Terence moved to Parksville and they enjoyed traveling in their RV. Her cheery "Toodle-oo" whenever she waved goodbye will be missed by all who loved her.
