It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Louise Parsons announce her peaceful passing at her residence on Monday, May 29, 2017, at 83 years of age. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 63 years, Harvey; children: Bertha (Sterling) Harris of Brampton, ON, Willie (Ann) Parsons of Woody Point, Margaret (Dave) Pinkney of ON, Louise (Larry) Sheppard of Caledon, ON, Henry (Penny) Parsons of Trout River, Rosie (Chris) Parsons of ON and Bonnie (Adam) of Trout River; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ivy was predeceased by her son George; parents George and Margaret Butler; as well as all her brothers and sisters. Ivy was the last of the Butler children born to George and Margaret. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. with Rev. Wendy Lowden officiating. In keeping with Ivy's wishes, cremation will follow the service with interment at a later date.
