Peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Monday, May 29, 2017 of Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Murnaghan of Charlottetown age 79 years. Born in Charlottetown, she was a daughter of the late John and Marion (nee McMillan) Aylward. Betty is survived by her husband Eugene "Gene" Murnaghan; sister Ethel Moore of Edmonton, A.B.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister Joan Doucette and Noreen Newman; brothers Gordon and Bill Aylward. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Private family visiting will be held in the funeral home. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Edward Home or St. Patrick’s Church, Fort Augustus.
