Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Thomas Barron, aged 84 years, was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Marjorie Barron (nee Flynn); his son, Robert-Paul; second wife, Sheila (Dymond) Barron; brothers, Jim, John, Bill and Pat as well as his sister, Mary. Tom leaves with loving memories, his children, Gail Slaney (Gerard), Marilyn Young (Ron), Paul (Doris Anne), Janet Crummell (Craig) and Deanne Edwards (Matt); his grandchildren, Peter, Colin, Caitlin, Robert-Paul, Hannah, Thomas, Zachary and John as well as his sisters-in-law, Mary Barron, Lorraine Barron, Dorene Brown and extended family. Tom also leaves a large circle of other relatives and friends. Tom was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Parish, he was a long-time member of the Adult Choir, a Cantor and a former member of the Singing Legionaires. He was also a founding member of The Guitar Club; music was such an influential part of his life. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Rapid Response Team at Eastern Health, to the caregivers at Rosemore Homecare and the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 am on Monday, June 5, 2017 from Corpus Christi Church with inurnment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
