George Green, 78, of Shediac passed away on Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Villa Providence Shediac. Born in Sydney, NS on August 31, 1938, he was the son of the late Allison and May Green.
Before his retirement, he worked with The Co-Operators Insurance Company for 35 years and was an RCMP member for 6 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elvie Patricia Jean (Blackwood) Green; his children, Mark (Ginette) Green of Salisbury, Laura (Charles) Martin; brother, Ivan (Lois) Green; sister, Sharon (Zane) Lee; four grandchildren, Christina, Nicholas, Catlin, Cody and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by William, Frank and a sister, Beverly.
As per his wishes, there will be an internment at a later date for family and friends.
In memory of George, a contribution to the Cancer Care Nova Scotia or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
