It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Teresa McMahon (Deveaux) on April 28, 2017 in Truro, NS at the age of 91. Mary died peacefully in the presence of her loving family.
Mary is survived by her children Colleen, Patrick, Brian, Ann, Robert, John and Teresa; and two brothers Ambrose and Roy. She is preceded in death by her husband John Fred McMahon and daughter Margaret Ethel McMahon, and two sisters Winnifred and Rita. Mary was the proud grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of nine.
Mary was born on August 28 in Glace Bay, NS to Michael Deveaux and Elizabeth Deveaux (Donovan). She is remembered by her family as a devoted loving mother and by her friends as kind and witty. Mary was an active and dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima church in Sydney River and often sang in the choir through the years.
Mom, we will miss you and will keep you in our prayers. Thank you for all the support, love and patience. You are the greatest.
