Sandra Janet (Lake) Hosick. February 27, 1947 – June 6, 2017. Sandy passed away peacefully on June 6th at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario. Born on February 27, 1947 in East Walton, N.S., she was the eldest daughter of four children. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Lake of East Walton, N.S.; husband Ed, daughter Melody (Greg) and son Jeffrey. Nana will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Lindsay (Michael), Brent (Kristen), Darryl (Kelly), Logan and Ireland and her great-grandchildren Cooper and Carter. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Janice (House) of Windsor, N.S., brothers Rod (Joy) Lake, East Walton; Bob (Debby) Lake, Mississauga, Ont.; many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Sandy was predeceased by her father, Melvin Lake. The family received guests at Turner and Porter, Peel Chapel, Mississauga, Ont. on June 10th from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service followed in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation, www.trilliumgiving.ca. Burial will take place at a later date at Tennecape Cemetery, Nova Scotia.
