Frederick ‘Fred’ J. Sharpe
Sharpe, 70 years of age, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Frederick & Freda (Smith) Sharpe.He will sadly be missed by his daughter, Tammy (Christopher Hobbs) of Amherst, grandchildren, Benjamin Rogers (Amy Lorraine) of Goose Bay, Labrador and Katherine Bentley (Darren) of Halifax; sisters, Cathy Doerr, husband Mark and their son, Kyle, Marlene Varey, husband Doug and their two sons, Chad & Todd.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Sharpe "Bobby" and Wayne Smith
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) . The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 12- 2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial to take place at a later date.
