William Patrick Vaters, 77, of Louisburg transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on July 28, 1939 to the late Patrick and Susan Barry Vaters. A loving dad and a very proud Papa who was also fond of his dog, "Ookie". Bill was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Rosary Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed playing hockey and baseball in his younger years. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters Jody Young (Todd), Maggie Killette; grandchildren Alex Young, Daniel Killette and Bryan Killette; brother Sylvester Vaters (Stella) of Canada; his sister Margaret Carr of Pennsylvania and his sister-in-law Louise Vaters of New York.
