Clive Cecil Kirby

Surrounded by his loving family, Clive went home to be with his blessed savior on June 15, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital following a long struggle with Parkinsons.
Born Sept 26, 1942, at Burin NFLD, he was the son of the late John Earle Kirby and Daisey (Mayo).
Clive worked for Devco on security for 35 years and retired at age 59. He also worked for Maritect Security and was a crossing guard for the C.B.R.M.
Clive is survived by his wife of 57 years Violet (Pyke) who cared for him during his 16 year struggle with Parkinson. He is also survived by his daughters, Jean (Brad), Jan (John); sons, Clive Jr. (Paula), Kenneth (Cecillia), Pernell (Linda). He will also be missed by his 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lorraine Walker and his only brother, William Kirby who resides in North Sydney.
Besides his parents, Clive was predeceased by his sister, Jean Garnier.
Visitation for the late Clive Kirby will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday June 19, 2017 and the Funeral Service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday all from the Gospel Hall, 125 Yorke St. Sydney Mines. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. If desired donations in Clive’s memory may be made to the Parkinson Canada.
