It is with great sadness that the families of the late Margaret Janes announce her passing on Saturday, June 17, 2017, peacefully with her family by her side in her home in Reidville at the age of 88 years.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Sheila McDonald of Riverview, NB, Mary (Larry) Reid of Reidville, Rowena (Peter) Hawkey-Noble, Lakeside, NB and Douglas (Krystal) Janes, Eastern Passage, NS; seven grandchildren: Jason (Stephanie), Troy (Terri-Lynn) Helena, Sabrina (Geoff), Alexia, Anthony (Samantha), and Andrew; seven great-grandchildren: Darrien, Claudia, Ethan, Mikkayla, Canaan, Samson, and Nora; her sisters: Grace, Patricia, Jane (Robert) Wilton, Lillian (Russell) Reid, and Diane Cross; her brother: Melvin (Wavey) Cross; sisters-in-law: Shirley Cross, Joan (Clayton) Pilgrim, and Albertha Janes; brother-in-law: Lloyd Janes. She was predeceased by her husband: Doyle; parents: Henry and Bride Cross; grandson: Patrick Hawkey-Noble; mother and father-in-law: Edwin and Maud Janes; brothers: Henry, Stanley, Ronald, and Donald and sisters and brothers-in-law; Julia (Winston), Gertie (Oliver) and Brenda (Ronald). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.

A special thanks to Joanne Randell, our angel to the end and the other nurses from Western Health. We so appreciated the professionalism, kindness, compassion, and support you all showed Mom and ourselves. Many thanks to her caregivers: Barb, Martha, Wanda, and Cathy. Thank you to Dr. Kielty for your support and care.

As per Margaret's wishes cremation will take place and visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL. The memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2 pm, from St. Michael's and all Angels Anglican Church on Farm Road, Deer Lake, NL with Rev. Canon Paulette Budgen officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of The Salvation Army church section on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Michaels & All Angels Anglican Church fund and or The Daffodil Place in Margaret's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
