Rodney L. Leighton, 68 years of age, of Tatamagouche, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Halifax Infirmary following heart surgery. Born in Bramber, NS, he was a son of the late Lynfield & Pearle (Caldwell) Leighton.

Rodney will be missed by his friends and family, as well as by his worldwide network of "zine" friends who knew him , not as a quiet silviculture worker, but as a creative, witty, courageous and vulnerable man. The family would like to express their heart felt appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff on 5th floor at the Halifax Infirmary.

Survived by sisters, Shirley Nazer of Halifax, NS, Sharon Leighton of PEI; brother, Eric (Letha) of Fox River, NS.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst ,NS (902-667-8777). No visitation or service by request. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
