Date de naissance : 1er juillet 1960

Lieu de décès : Windsor, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 18 juin 2017

HALEY, Michael Paul “Mike” - Age 56, of Windsor, Hants Co., died on Father's Day, Sunday, June 18, 2017, holding the hands of his family, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Mike was born on July 1, 1960 to the late Bill and Emily (Wilson) Haley. He met the love of his life, Heather, forty years ago this summer. They lived well and they loved deeply, in a way that most can only dream of. They have two beautiful daughters, Tara (Matt) McAllister and Jennifer (George Forsyth) and a grandson, Brayden. Words can't convey how proud Mike was of his family, he truly was their rock. Mike was so loved by his sister, Pat Dexter. He was loved like a son, by Ron and Margaret Hazlett and was like a brother to Ronnie (Wanda) Hazlett, Debbie (Mark) Beckwith, Cindy (Clarence) Barker and Tami Hazlett, they loved him like one of their own. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. All of our lives were made richer by his easy gentle nature and his incredible spirit. Mike owned and operated Mike's Carpentry for nearly thirty years. He was a skilled craftsman who was well-known and well-respected in the industry. His hands built spaces for people to live - places where children were raised and families grew, and decks to share a cold drink on a hot night. To the people who make it their life's work to heal the sick, giving of themselves every day to help, we wanted to say thank you. To those at the Hants Community Hospital and QEII Health Sciences Centre, especially those on 8A and 8B, you gave us your best during his illness and for that we are grateful. Mike touched so many. He freely shared his wit, his charm and his attention with those fortunate enough to be by his side. His laugh was infectious and it was hard not to feel happy when he was in the room. His smile could light the night sky and many nights it did. Those of us who love him, who are missing him so dearly, will carry his light with us. He will light our lives forever. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor, NS (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 21. A funeral service celebrating Mike’s life was held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kevin Cox officiated. A reception immediately followed in the Three Mile Plains Community Hall, 4474 Hwy 1, Three Mile Plains. Burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers by request. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Cancer Care, C/O QEII Foundation, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Park Lane Mall, Suite 3005, Halifax, NS B3J 3R4 or a charity of one’s choice.
