JARED MOFFAT
Jared Shane Moffat was born in Prince Albert on January 5, 1983 to Lorne and Gayle Moffat, younger brother to Tyler. Jared attended school at Berezowsky from grades 1-6, grades 7-9 at Riverside, and 10-12 at Carlton. He later went on to obtain his diploma in Correctional Studies from SIAST. Jared started his career as a gas jockey at the family gas station then moving on to the Prince Albert Group Home Society working with a diverse group of individuals - a job AT which he truly excelled. He spent the next 10 years working for the Prince Albert Correctional Center and also a short period of time with Probations. Jared recently changed direction in regards to his career; he was employed with Forbes Brothers, a company that took him to many different places and provinces working as a lineman installing power lines - a career that was thrilling and challenging, a job that brought a smile to his face, a smile that we haven’t seen in a long time, and sadly a job that took his life on June 19th, 2017 in Come by Chance, NFLD. In Jared’s 34 years of life, he accomplished many things but his greatest accomplishment was becoming a father; he loved and adored his son Tucker beyond words, always teaching him things from playing drums, guitar and singing to hunting and fishing and everything in-between. Jared was truly one of a kind, multitalented and excelling in everything he tried. He had the capacity to make friends everywhere he went as he made many unique and lasting friendships during his lifetime. He had a belief that his purpose on this earth was to help others, to help others see their truest self and reach their greatest potential. A self-declared spiritualist, driven by the beauty of nature Jared was a free spirit, wise beyond his years. An avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener, he believed in sharing his bounty with friends and family. Jared was a force to be reckoned with, a true conversationalist, a lover and a fighter, a political extraordinaire, a charmer, a true Casanova, a helper, a healer, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a very good friend to many, his infectious laugh will be missed by all. Jared’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. “Vincit Qui Se Vincit; Aut Viat Invenium Aut Facium” “He conquers who conquers himself; I shall either find a way or make one”. Jared is survived by: his son: Tucker Shane Moffat; his loyal Companion: Bruno; his parents: Lorne and Gayle Moffat; his brother: Tyler (Lana) Moffat and their children; Ethan, Allie, Kaebry & Karsyn; his grandmother: Elsie Mazurek; his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and their families: Carole (Ted) Lorenz; Kim (Jack) Kinnear, Debbie (Jigger) Audette, Tracy (Willy) Germs, Dawn (Kim) Diebert, Sandy (Ron) Braaten, Diane (Ron) Martin; Kyla (Brett) Hoffman, Craig (Marnie) Martin, Jenny (Vern) Ulvick; Debra Ulvick, Sheldon Thibault Jean Mazurek; Brad Mazurek, Kevin (Tanya) Mazurek, Darla (Moe) Croall Angela Rediger, Jason (Sierra) Rediger; as well as numerous friends, far and wide.
