Born March 15, 1974 at Buchanan Memorial Hospital in Neil’s Harbour, brought up in Cape North, NS. Chad was taken away from us far too soon in a vehicle accident in Oakatoks, Alberta, April 23, 2017. He spent most of his working years on the oil rigs in Alberta.
Chad is survived by his father, Douglas Dowling (Sandra); mother, Margaret Courtney; brother, Craig Dowling, and the pride and joy of his life, son, John Thomas (J.T.) and J.T’s mother, Natasha.
Predeceased by grandparents, Austin and Freda Dowling, Melvin and Florence (Courtney) MacKinnon, and uncle, Rickey Dowling.
Chad was best known for his infectious smile and easy going nature. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a celebration of Chads life for family and friends with Fr. Jake Andrea officiating, Saturday, July 1, at 4 p.m. 2017 at the Cape North United grave site, followed by a reception in Culture Centre.
