Murray Francis Reid
It is with great sorrow we the family announce the very sudden passing of Murray. He was the son of Murray and Francis Reid of Mira.
Murray (Hubby) greatest love was his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on the Mira passionately; a true outdoorsman. Time spent with his family and so many friends was his blessing.
Besides his Dad, Murray is survived by his wife, Sheila; two sons, Ryan (Andrea) and Alex (Shelley); two beautiful granddaughters, Emily, 5 and Danielle, 3; his two sisters, Wendy (Curtis) Aucoin and Shelly (Garth) Reid; ten nephews and four nieces; also Travis MacLean (Son of their heart); many very close cousins, and special aunt, Jean MacNeil.
Murray is predeceased by his mom, Francis, and cousin/brother, Ewen Morris (Ranni).
Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with celebration of life to follow in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
A reception with friends and family will be held at the Mira Boat Club, Hillside Rd., Albert Bridge from 6-9 p.m.
