Catherine Douglas Jay passed away peacefully on February 14, 2017 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She is survived by her three sons George, Howard, Bruce, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Cecil, and her son Herbert.
Catherine and Cecil grew up on Prince Edward Island and their children remember the many summers spent visiting relatives and friends on the Island. They are remembered fondly by their 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial and internment of Catherine's ashes will occur at 1:00pm on July 15th at Mt. Stewart Cemetery followed by a reception at the United Church in Mt. Stewart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Stewart People's Cemetery.
