Stephenville

Passed away peacefully on April 3, 2011 in Nova Scotia at the age of 82 years. He will be sadly missed by his former wife Isabel Mootrey and sons: Anthony, Arthur, Jimmy, Carl, Johnny and their families, daughters: Lillian, Doreen, Mary, Elizabeth, Rosalie, Marguerite, Susan and their families. He will also be missed by his sister Lillian Knight and daughter-in-law Bertha. He leaves to mourn 29 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his son Billy and daughter Theresa Osmond, two sisters: Theresa Brennan-Young and Madeline Young and close friend, Mary Benoit, parents: Cecilia and Arthur Mootrey. Cremation has taken place in Nova Scotia and friends may visit at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday, April 15th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville with Pastor Bess officiating. Interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville with his son Billy.
