BLAIN, Fernand - Mr. Fernand Blain, peacefully on July 8, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Cornwall Community Hospital, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Norma Blain (née Acedera). Loved father of Stéphanie Blain (Chris Phillips), Jocelyne, André, Joanne (Gary Clayton), and Susan Cardinal (Paul). Dear grandfather of Josée, Mireille, Sophie, Kimberly, Geneviève, Vanessa, and Samuel. Sadly missed by many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Cherished brother to Florence, Dolorès, Hélène, Réjeanne, and Carmelle. Predeceased by his first wife Pierrette, his parents François and Marie-Louise (née Parent) Blain, and his brothers Réal and Raymond. Fernand loved to dance, play bridge, and travel. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2-5 PM. The mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be held in Ste. Thérèse de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
