Age 86 of Thornlea, formerly of Little Catalina, passed peacefully away at Pleasantville Towers on July 11, 2017. Predeceased by her husband Levi Sidney Thorne (1998). Leaving with years of loving memories sons: Danny (Helen) Thorne, Sylvan Lake, AB, Kevin (Chona) Thorne, Edmonton, AB; daughters: Lorraine (Don) Smith, Kelligrews, NL and Yvonne (Simon) Dale, Vancouver, BC; grandsons: Levi, Dylan, Joshua and Joseph; granddaughter Carla (Daniel) Reid and great-grandchildren: Oliva and Owen. Special nephew and niece Ellwood and Chris Rowe, Thornlea, NL, and will be sadly missed by her best 'fur' friend Sammy, Kelligrews, NL; sisters-in-law: Dora Piercey, Little Catalina, NL, Minnie Thorne, St. John's, NL, Ruby Thorne, Clarenville, NL; brothers-in-law: Eric Thorne (Phoebe) Thornlea, NL, Bill Thorne (Ethel) Cambridge, ON, Tom Thorne (Marge) Thornlea, NL. Memorial service will be held at Faith United Church, Thornlea, NL on Sunday, July 16, 2017 @ 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice.
