Mabel Marcella (Trimm) Tutty passed away on July 9, 2017 at Villa Saint Joseph du Lac, Dayton.
She was born on June 3, 1930 to Elizabeth (Wadden) and Henry Trimm. She grew up on Scatarie Island and lived in Louisbourg for sixty years before moving to Yarmouth County. She was an employee of Parks Canada for seventeen years, was involved in Home & School, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Anglican Church Women. She loved her family and devoted her life to them; was well respected and loved by all who knew her. Her strong faith enabled her to endure and accept whatever came her way.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William; son, William; grandson, Justin Custance; sisters, Eileen, Kathleen, Henrietta; brothers, Lester, Joseph; many sisters and brothers-in-law. She is survived by daughters, Beatrice (Bob) MacConnell, Carolyn (Bill) O’Toole, Joyce (Lyle Lachmuth), Gloria (Michael MacLeod) Theriault, Charlene (Danny) MacLean, Cheryl (Michael) Custance; sons, Kenneth (Clifford Matthews, deceased), Charles (Kerry Moore), Robert (Bonnie); daughter-in-law, Sharon; grandchildren, Christopher (Wanda) & Jonathan (Antonia) MacConnell, Natalie & Jacqueline (Andrew Fowler) O’Toole, Brittany (Devon) Balodis, Kyle, Scott, Stacey Tutty, Sean & Kyra Quigg Tutty, Isabelle Theriault, Matthew & Brandon MacLean, Jason (Brandy Phillips) & Allen Custance; step grandchildren, Tafline & Matthew Lachmuth; great-grandchildren, Claire, Katarina, Jillian, Nathan MacConnell, June, Harvey Balodis; step great – grandchildren, Logan, Carter Porter; sisters, Susan Hercia, Delores (Michael) Gorecky, Diane (George) Lahey; sister-in-law Sylvia; brothers, Fabian, Jimmy, Glen (Betty Ann) Trimm; special niece, Yvonne Weatherbee and many nieces & nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. There will be a memorial service at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg on Aug.26th.
Visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Service at 3 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery. A reception to follow in the church basement.
