STAN READ
1926 – 2017
Mr. Stan Read, beloved husband of the late Edna Read of Prince Albert, SK passed away at the age of 91 years on Saturday, July 15, 2016. Stan is survived by his loving family: his sons, Alvin Read and family from Fort St. James, BC; Hughie (Linda) Read and family of Prince Albert, SK; Earl (Cindy) Read and family of Prince George, BC; Marvin (Jody) Read and family from Prince Albert, SK; his brother, Sid; his sister-in-law, Evelyn; and his brother-in-law, David; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by wife, Edna; his brothers, Harold and George; his sisters, Winnifred, Edith and Kay; his sister-in-law, Betty; and his brother-in-law, Garth. Stan was born on May 1, 1926 in Whitewood, SK. Stan’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 21 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Merv Sundbo officiating. Interment of cremated remains will take place at the Snowden Cemetery following the lunch. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Pineview Terrace Lodge, 701 13th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 3H2.
