Dr. Robert Lawrence Rimsay passed peacefully in his home on July 26th, 2017 as a result of advanced Alzheimer’s Disease. He is predeceased by his parents, Dora and Joseph Rimsay and survived by his wife Linda, daughter Rebekah (Stan), granddaughter Anya, sister Patti McBain (Ray), faithful furry friend Ida, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Bob’s gentle soul will be dearly missed for his incredible love of learning, kindness to all, and great sense of humour. He was a consummate scientist and professor with a lengthy career at Memorial University. He possessed a broad spectrum of passions including science, philosophy, art and music. At his request his remains have been donated to The University of Toronto School of Medicine.
