Keith Hamon

Keith Hamon

Date de décès : 26 juillet 2017

It is with sadness that the family of Keith Hamon announce his passing at home on July 26, 2017 at the age of 67. He was born and raised in Moose Jaw and lived on the west end, where the hockey rink became his second home as he was growing up. He attended William Grayson and Riverview Collegiate. In the early 70’s he worked at Moose Jaw Packers, then for A. Lister Livestock. In 1975, he married his wife and best friend Sandy Lister. They lived in North Battleford three years, where Keith worked for Friedman Livestock, eventually moving back to Moose Jaw to work once again for Albert Lister. By 1982 Keith had become a knowledgeable cattleman, and began a long 30 plus year career with JGL Livestock. Keith retired due to poor health, and enjoyed retirement in the last five years puttering around his yard, taking great pride in his lush green lawn, and his pond. He and his basset hounds were a familiar site on South Hill during their daily walks. His family meant everything to him, and he demonstrated this with 23 years of sobriety under his belt, using every opportunity to make amends to them. He earned their love and respect and was a man of integrity. Keith leaves behind his wife of 42 years Sandra; daughter Erin (Nathan) Taylor of Yorkton; son Brady (Marvy) of the Philippines, and son Cody of Moose Jaw; grandchildren Austin, Hailey, Bryce and Ayden; two little great-granddaughters Violet and Ivy who brought him much joy; brother Marlo (Marg) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Keith is predeceased by his parents Mabel and John; sister Harlean (Glenn) Knutson and brother Wayne (Audrey). The family would like to extend a very grateful thank you to Dr. Rininsland for the excellent care he provided to Keith over these past years. Cremation has taken place and Keith has been laid to rest in the family plot at Rosedale Cemetery. The family invites family and friends to a time of sharing memories at the Heritage Inn, Moose Jaw on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 2 – 5 pm. In living memory of Keith a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
