Loving father of Gail, Alvin (Margie) and Isabell (Roy) Coffin. Grampie to Nathan (Crystal), Adam (Kim), Julie (Rynier) Carpendale, Emily, Jeremy, Melanie, Trevor and Old Grampie to Lily, Ruby, Noah, Anna, Caleb, Mary, Leah, Arielle, Judah and Sadie. Brother of Juanita Kneabone. Brother-in-law of Lena Myers, Renie Wooldridge, Flora Mullen, Cecelia MacLean and Doris Birt. Predeceased by his parents Eddie and Grace Jay, brother Harold (Virginia), great-grandchild Jonah Jay and brothers-in-law Ralph Kneabone, Russell, Leith and Bruce Woolridge and sisters-in-law Nora Jay, Evelyn Fraser and Edna Steale. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart at 2 p.m. Interment in Mount Stewart Peoples Cemetery.
