Suddenly at home on Sunday, July 30, 2017 of Ian Smith of Oyster Bed Bridge and Stratford age 58 years. Beloved husband of Bernice Gallant. Stepfather of Jason (Mandy) Perry and Cory (Kristin) Perry. Son of the late Edward and Agnes Smith. Son-in-law of Evangeline and the late Alfred Gallant. Dear brother of Craig, Teddy (Christine), Brian, Roger (Jeanne), Gail (Gordon deceased) Dennis, Gary, Wayne (Debbie), Kenny, Carol (Steven) MacArthur, Allan (Jackie), Robbie (Keila), and Sharon (George) Fairfax. Brother-in-law of Ernest (Paula) Gallant, Norma (Cedric Gallant, Maurice (Brenda) Gallant, Donnie (Loretta) Gallant, Marcella Gallant, Kevin (Sherry) Gallant, Robert (Ashan) Gallant and Gerald (Michel) Gallant. Ian will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his canine companions Buddy and Billy. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
