OBITUARY
Mary Linda Pike
August 2, 1940 – July 30, 2017

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Mary Linda Pike (nee Billard) announces her passing after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Sunday July 30, 2017 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 76 years. Born at Burgeo, Mary was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rita Billard, she was predeceased by her husband William Pike in 2004, baby daughter Mary Elaine, father and mother in law Willoughby and Maisie Pike, sister in law Joan Bragg, brothers in law Frank Pike and Alex Hardy. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories her children; Dave (Wilma) Pike of Port aux Basques, Paula Pike (Paul Guimont) of Fredericton NB. A proud grandmother and great grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Kelly (Tom) McDonald, April Shea, Krista (Konstantin Nasartschuk), Megan, and Emily, her precious great grandsons TJ and Nathan. She will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers Les (Joyce) Billard of Dartmouth NS, Russell Billard of Port aux Basques and sister Viola (Dennis) Yates of Grand Falls – Windsor NL. She will also be fondly remembered by her in laws; Jean Hardy, Nelson Bragg, Margaret Pike, Beulah (Leo) Strickland, Jocelyn (Rick) Leamon, her life long and best friend Bessie Blackmore and large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday August 3, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church Channel, officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard, internment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Mary can be made to St. James Anglican Church or the Palliative Care room at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre.
