It is with great sadness that we the family of Margaret Anne announce her passing at Cape Breton Regional Hospital on August 3, 2017 at the age of 59.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne Wainwright.
Margaret worked over 20 years on Military bases alongside her husband. She enjoyed crochet, knitting and reading a good book.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl; daughter, Carrol Anne (Jason) Travis, Utah; son, Kirk (Kaleen), BC; grandchildren, Hayley, Brayden, AbbiGayle, Freddie and Ginger; brothers, Gordon (Susanne); Andy; Tom (Glenda).
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Carl and Frances (Stinton) Lohnes; brother, Jack and sister-in-law, Marchita.
Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and again from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. both in the SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Rev Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations in memory of Margaret can be made to the Cancer Centre at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or the Palliative Care also at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
