Passed peacefully away at her residence in St. Brendan's Island on August 7, 2017 Loretta Kelly (nee) Hynes, aged 91 years. As the eldest resident of the island, her passion for church activities, community functions and family "get togethers" will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Predeceased by her husband Maurice Kelly of 51 years and infant son Louis; parents Patrick and Ellen Hynes and brother Harold Hynes. Leaving behind with many, many great memories, Madonna (Anthony), Harold (Carmel), Anita (Lou), Shirley (Randy), Ronald (Angie), Maurice (Linda), Gerard (Wavey), Loretta (Roger), Linda (Derrick), Paddy (Dana), 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Josephine White, as well as a large circle of family and friends, especially her homecare provider Donna Purchase. A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11 am at St. Gabriel's Parish with interment to follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, St. Brendan's. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Gabriel's Parish, St. Brendan's.
