Peacefully at his late residence on August 13, 2017 John Calvin "Toady" MacKinnon of Mt. Buchanan, age 85. Beloved husband of the late Leotha (Jackson) MacKinnon. Survived by sisters Florence (Late Blair Kelly), Evelyn ( Lowell) Large; brother Neil (Wilma) MacKinnon; sister-in-law Diane MacKinnon, many nieces and nephews who dearly loved their "Uncle Toady". Lovingly remembered by Leotha’s family whom he considered to be his family as well; daughter and son-in-law Claudia and Bobby Jenkins; grandchildren, Bradley (Nicole), Cyndi Jenkins, great granddaughters Olivia and Madison Jenkins. Besides his wife he was predeceased by parents, Donald and Lavinia (Bishop) MacKinnon; brothers Sandy and Angus; sister Janie (Lem) Gamester, niece Beth Kelly. No visiting or funeral service by personal request. A private family remembrance will take place in the Polly Cemetery on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. If so desired as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Polly Cemetery would be appreciated.
