With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing at home, of Thomas James Kearney, 19, of Tarbot, on Monday August 14, 2017.
“Thoma” as he was known to those closest to him, was born on March 13, 1998 in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. He grew up largely in Tarbot, and was at his happiest there, surrounded by those he loved most.
Left to mourn are, his parents, Lena Morrison and Mike Kearney; his siblings, Jason (Twyla) Keigan, Tony (Jessica) Morrison, Kailea Morrison and Maggie Morrison, also, David Latter, and Mark Kearney, as well as his nephews and niece, Jay Jay and Marcella Keigan, Brent Morrison and Colton Donovan.
Thoma was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and grandson and will be remembered by his surviving grandmother, Kathryne Kearney, as well as many uncles, cousins and extended family.
He also leaves behind his faithful companions, Jake, Coco, Waffle and Skittles.
Thoma was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Peggy Morrison; his aunt, Maisie Morrison; cousin, Lisa Mac Donald, and close friend and cousin, Cory Keigan.
Visitation will take place at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, North River, from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday August 19, followed immediately by a service at 3 p.m. with Reverend Corrie Stewart officiating.
