It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, Anna McDonald, age 90 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility on August 18, 2017. Born in PEI she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Christine (Ryan) Collins. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12; Steelworkers and Sydney Pensioners club as well as Club 55.
She is survived by daughters, Virginia (Bob) Crane, Gail (Tony) Doucette, Alecia (Pete) Brand, Sherry (Ken) MacAuley; sons, Wade Campbell, Lowell Campbell, Blaine (Leeann) Campbell; brother, Charles Collins; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a child in infancy; husband of 60 years, Alex Campbell; as well as second husband, Mike McDonald (fmr Chief of Police/Sydney); brother, Eddie Ryan; sister, Dottie.
Memorial Service will take place 2 p.m., Thursday in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, Nancy Latham –Whitney D.L.M. officiating. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
