Norman MacEwen, 86 of Havelock, ON passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side, on July 29, 2017. Cherished husband of Shirley (Prescott) and loving father to William (Deborah) Keeler and Debra, all of Ontario. Son of the late Daniel and Rosalind (MacEachern) MacEwen of Long Creek, PEI. Proud grandfather of Sarah (Doug Palinkas), Jeremy, Tyler (Michelle), Devin (Kerri) and Candace and great-grandfather of Easton, Brayden, Houston, Kylee, Zachary, Allison, Kian, Sophie and Levi. Devoted brother of Hollis (Joan), Ruby (Andrew McNeill), Claire (Boyd MacDonald), Harvey (Margaret), Neil (Gail), Lucy Vryenhoek, Blair (Cheryl), Eric (Jeannine) and Heath (Patricia) and brother-in-law Ken Prescott. Norman is pre-deceased by his oldest brother Albert and brother-in-law Aaldert Vryenhoek. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation and a Celebration of Life have taken place in Peterborough, ON. A Memorial Service will be held at Canoe Cove Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Interment of Cremated remains at the New Dominion United Church Cemetery and a reception at the Canoe Cove Presbyterian Church are to follow.
